Here you have a company that in their April 18th, 2007 press release uses the words "Keep America Beautiful" and "... make an extra effort to be respectful of the environment..." but yet they have been littering our town as well as many others with their plastic signage. Where do they think these signs end up after blowing away? Perhaps our rivers, streams, woodlands or maybe even into moving traffic? How is that being respectful of the environment and keeping America beautiful? There are many reasons Brick Twp has an ordinance against the display of these types of signs. If companies like this continue to take a piece of real estate to advertise their businesses, then perhaps they should be sent a tax bill on top of the fine for ignoring the township's ordinance.
If they need this type of advertising, then they should pay for a billboard ad like so many "Professional" businesses do.
To all businesses who choose this method of advertising: Save your money!
Any illegal sign seen will be reported to the township for them to take action.
Stop littering our town as well as the rest of this state.
* Note: Already 2 out of 7 signs blown free in just 1 day. The red arrow is pointing to one that is laying in the driveway exit of the Getty Station.
